Gerina-Piller
She was born in Roswell on the 29th of March 1985. Gerina Michel Mendoza is her birth name. Gerina Stevenson was born to Mexican grandparents Rita Stevenson and Alan Stevenson. She is of Mexican-American heritage and is an American by citizenship. Her lifelong passion for sports has made her a fan of sports. Gerina first began to golf when she was fifteen years old. Gerina played at Goddard High School. As a senior in the high school level, she was able to win the New Mexico state golf tournament. Also, she was a volleyball player and competed at the national level. 2003, she began her studies at The University of Texas. As a senior, she won each tournament she competed in. While in her university career, she received the honor of being named Conference USA individual champion player of the year, and was named UTEP Female Athlete of the Year.
